PCPC and its Member Companies are aligned in their understanding of the immediate and potential long-term impacts of climate change and its effect on our planet, natural environment and the well-being of society. Member Companies are committed to reducing their CO2 emission and implementing mitigation, adaptation and resilience strategies.
Many of PCPC’s larger Member Companies have committed to the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), We Mean Business Coalition and report annually to CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), a not-for-profit which provides a global system for companies, and cities, to measure, disclose, manage, and share carbon emissions and other material environmental information.
Many of PCPC’s Member Companies have set ambitious goals to be carbon neutral or net positive and aim to play a leading role in the transition to a low carbon economy in support of the landmark agreement reached in the Paris Accord, limiting global temperature increase below 2 degrees Celsius.
The PCPC aims to share best practices more broadly amongst its membership in order to advance the management of carbon emissions across the sector.
