About PCPC
Founded in 1894, the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) is the leading national trade association representing cosmetics and personal care products companies and serving as the voice on scientific, regulatory, legislative and international issues for the $535.7 billion global industry.

Mission
We remain united and steadfastly determined to preserve our industry’s future and effectively position our companies so they can continue to provide safe, innovative products. Three strategic priorities guide PCPC’s work on behalf of our members:

In 2020, PCPC updated the Economic and Social Contributions Report to provide insights into the collective work of member companies that supports the economy; contributes to social and environmental programs; and meets the needs of American families as these companies work to make communities better.

Expert Panel for Cosmetic Ingredient Safety
An independent, nonprofit scientific body, established in 1976 to assess the safety of cosmetic ingredients used in the U.S. through the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) program.
Economic and Social Impact
PCPC works with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to measure the economic and social impact of the personal care products industry, using the most recent government data available.
Look Good, Feel Better Foundation
Look Good Feel Better helps women, men, and teens regain a sense of normalcy and control, empowering them to harness the power of hope and beauty to face the challenge of a lifetime.
