Thomas F. Myers

President & CEO

Tom Myers is the president and chief executive officer of the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), the leading national trade association for the cosmetics and personal care products industry, representing the most innovative names in beauty today. PCPC serves as the voice on scientific, legal, regulatory, legislative and international issues for approximately 600 member companies that manufacture, distribute and supply the vast majority of finished personal care products marketed in the U.S. Myers previously served as executive vice president for Legal & Regulatory Affairs and general counsel at PCPC, overseeing all legal and domestic regulatory issues facing the industry and was intricately involved in the operations of each department.

Prior to joining PCPC, Myers was an attorney in the Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs Division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he provided policy guidance on issues related to renewable energy, chemical management, climate change, clean water, clean air, and endangered and threatened species.

Myers also has more than 10 years of private law practice experience, working for the international law firms of Jones Day and Greenberg Traurig. His practice primarily involved environmental due diligence in real estate transactions, and counseling numerous national and international clients on compliance with environmental laws, policies and regulations.

Myers frequently serves as a guest speaker on a variety of issues, including FDA law, consumer product safety, product liability, green chemistry, air quality and Proposition 65. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the District of Columbia. An avid fly fisherman, he currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two daughters.
