Thomas Myers is Executive Vice President, Legal & General Counsel and is responsible for managing legal and regulatory issues facing the industry. Myers assesses and mitigates potential liabilities for the organization, manages an extensive litigation portfolio, provides counsel to staff on a host of in-house legal issues, and ensures internal compliance with corporate and workplace policies.
Prior to joining PCPC, Myers was an attorney with the Environment, Technology & Regulatory Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he provided policy input on issues including renewable energy, biofuels, GMOs, climate change, clean water, clean air, and endangered and threatened species. Myers also has more than 10 years of experience in private law practice, where he worked for the international law firms of Jones Day and Greenberg Traurig. His practice primarily involved environmental due diligence in real estate transactions, and counseling national and international clients on compliance with environmental laws, policies, and regulations.
Myers participates frequently in symposiums and panel discussions on a variety of legal issues, such as FDA law, consumer product safety, product liability, green chemistry, air quality and Proposition 65.
Myers is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the District of Columbia.
