Phillip A. Wages, Ph.D., DABT is Director, Global Product Safety at The Estée Lauder Companies, where he leads scientific initiatives supporting the safety assessment of cosmetic ingredients and finished products. His work focuses on applying toxicology, exposure science, risk assessment, and emerging technologies to enable science-based, risk-informed safety decisions across a global product portfolio.

Dr. Wages earned his Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his B.S. in Toxicology from Ashland University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) with expertise in toxicological risk assessment, ingredient safety evaluation, and consumer product safety.

Prior to joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Dr. Wages held scientific leadership positions in industry and academia, including roles at PepsiCo and Vanderbilt University. His current interests include the application of artificial intelligence, new approach methodologies (NAMs), and real-world evidence (RWE) to modernize safety assessment and strengthen scientific decision-making for consumers and regulators.
