Douglas Troutman is the Assistant Administrator for EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, overseeing the programs that ensure the safe use of pesticides and chemicals. Prior to joining EPA, Troutman spent over 20 years in the chemical and cleaning products sectors working on chemical management, product safety and environmental and energy policy issues. Troutman earned his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law, and his B.A. in International Affairs and Russian studies from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has two children and lives with his wife in Maryland.
