Carlos Berzunza is the executive president of CANIPEC, the Mexican Association representing the cosmetics, personal care and home care industries. Carlos also serves as the president of CASIC, the Latin American Regional Association representing the same industries.

Berzunza has a Law degree and five post-grads on various legal matters from Mexico’s UNIVERSIDAD PANAMERICANA. Prior to joining CANIPEC as director general in 2008, he held senior-level positions in the Mexican Standards Bureau of the Ministry of Economy and in the Legal Division of the Mexican Ministry of Education.

In December 2022, Berzunza was appointed honorary consul of Iceland for Mexico City and 25 other states in Mexico.
