Tesia Williams is a strategy-first communications executive with 25 years of experience protecting and elevating brands, building coalitions and responding to crises.
Prior to joining PCPC, Williams led Global Media Relations for Johnson & Johnson where she worked to safeguard the company’s reputation and amplify consequential work through top-tier media engagements.
Williams previously served as a senior vice president of Crisis & Reputation Management at Edelman. There, she leveraged her expertise in crisis communications, reputation management, media relations, media training, executive communication, and diversity, equity and inclusion strategies to address organizations’ most pressing challenges.
Williams began her career in communications and public affairs in the federal government. She provided executive counsel, developed internal and external communications strategy, and oversaw brand refresh initiatives at the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Williams has a long history of serving as a spokesperson, calculating risks, and integrating resources to execute plans in a fast-paced environment. She led communications efforts on the federal response to the COVID-19 pandemic, product safety, workforce diversity and inclusion challenges, and critical supply shortages. Williams also responded to media inquiries and conducted media training following the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon.
Williams graduated from Hampton University in Hampton, Va. She resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband and three girls.
