Hamana has led functional and geographic teams for global consulting firms such as Burson-Marsteller, where he worked in the regional corporate and healthcare groups, and Edelman, where he developed the regional hub operation for Latin America, building a multi-million-dollar award-winning organization that supported acquisitions in Brazil, Colombia, and the agency’s expansion into Data Analytics, Bioscience, and Creative services. Hamana is a founding managing partner at global business consultancy firm Knight & Pawn, which comprises a network of best-in-class operations across markets and specialties.

A passionate believer in the contribution of education to improving society, Hamana serves as professor of Communications Management at the University of Miami and has been an advisor and former board member of the Pan American Health Organization. Hamana holds an M.A. in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Miami, an M.A. in Organizational Communications, and a B.A. in Mass Communications from the Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela.
