The Personal Care Products Council will hold its 2019 Annual Meeting Sunday, February 24 to Wednesday, February 27 at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.

Monday Morning Plenary Session Speakers:

Paul Zikopoulos – Award-Winning Author, Future Trends Expert, and VP of Big Data, IBM

How Artificial Intelligence Will Change the Way We Live and Think 

Paul Zikopoulos is changing the way audiences are looking at their businesses in terms of potential sales, obstacles, and potential for growth by sharing future trends that are starting to happen in real-time and have multiple applications. For example, shampoo brands that are connecting weather forecasts with personal consumer profiles to suggest the right mix of hair products for the day. He will discuss the next generation of technological change from the power of machine learning, to the opportunities in reading digital body language and joining the internet of things.

By sharing his insights on where big data comes from and the idea that “if you aren’t paying for it, you are being sold,” he breaks apart the roles of data collection and decision making for executives seeking the opportunities for disrupting their industry and leap-frogging the competition.

Named one of the “50 Big Data Twitter Influencers” by SAP, he has served as a big data consultant for “60 Minutes” and multiple universities, and has been named an expert on big data by publications such as Big Data Republic, Technopedia, and Analytics Week. An award winning writer, he has published more than 19 books and over 350 articles on data including Big Data Beyond the Hype, DB2 for Dummies, Understanding Big Data, and more.

 

Dr. Sally Uren – CEO, Forum for the Future

Future Proofing our Business: Microforces, Challenges & Opportunities

Dr. Sally Uren is Chief Executive at Forum for the Future, whose mission is to accelerate a sustainable future by facilitating transformational change in global systems. Dr. Uren works with leading global organizations, including Unilever and Kingfisher, civil society and foundations, both in one to one partnerships, and in multi-stakeholder collaborations designed to address complex systems challenges as diverse as food, energy, apparel and shipping.

Dr. Uren is directly involved in a number of projects including Net Positive, a coalition of 17 leading businesses, working to redefine corporate sustainability; Cotton 2040, a multi-stakeholder collaboration designed to accelerate the mainstreaming of sustainable cotton; and Tea 2030, a global project focusing on a number of innovative platforms intended to deliver a sustainable global tea industry.

Transforming your brand in the new age of wellness-driven marketing: Pinterest and the wellness megatrend

Valued at nearly $3.75 trillion and climbing, the wellness industry has seen unsurpassed growth. What used to be a niche market has permeated several industries from beauty to travel to food and hospitality. Join Vikram Bhaskaran as he dives into a custom study commissioned exclusively for the PCPC audience where he will reveal insights on the wellness industry from studying consumer behavior on Pinterest as it relates to wellness. Vikram will specifically outline macro and micro trends in the beauty & personal care space with actionable tips for how to reach the 250M people seeking a sense of well-being.

As head of market development, Vikram Bhaskaran leads Pinterest’s industry strategy, helping marketers across sectors better understand how to derive the most value from Pinterest. Vikram worked on the first version of Pinterest eight years ago and has since gone on to be a founding member of the partnership team, launch the New York City office and lead teams focused on sectors ranging from consumer packaged goods to retail to financial services and travel.
